Conveyor drums

The drum is mounted on the shaft and rotates with it, transferring force to the belt. Depending on the function, there are:

• Drive drums – transmit torque to the belt. For reliable grip, they are lined with rubber or plates, which increases the friction coefficient.
• Tension (end) drums – provide the necessary belt tension, compensate for its elongation, and stabilize the system's operation.
• Deflection (unloading) drums – change the direction of belt movement or facilitate material unloading.

To increase wear resistance and reliability, modern lining methods are used:

• rubber using Rema Tip-Top technology;
• replaceable plates of the KRU-260 (350) type.

Innovative hot and cold vulcanization materials allow:

• to increase the lining service life by 2 times;
• to perform repairs directly at the customer's site without dismantling the drums.

Seals are elements that prevent dust, moisture, and abrasive particles from entering the bearing assemblies of the drums. They play a key role in extending the service life of the bearings and the drum itself.

Depending on operating conditions, the following types of seals are used:

• Felt seals – simple and effective, made of pressed felt. They work well in dry conditions and absorb small dust particles.
• Labyrinth seals – consist of a system of ring channels through which dust or moisture cannot pass. They provide high reliability even in harsh conditions.
• Cuff seals – elastic rings made of special rubber or polymers that fit snugly around the shaft. They protect bearings from the ingress of liquids and dust and can withstand high speeds.
