Principles of operation

Our electric motors are based on the asynchronous principle of operation. When current flows through the winding, a magnetic field is created, which "forces" the rotor to rotate and convert electrical energy into mechanical energy.

To make this process as effective and safe as possible, we use:

  • copper wire with a rectangular cross-section for reliable and durable winding,
  • modern insulation materials for stable operation even in difficult conditions,
  • thermal protection of windings and bearings, which prevents overheating and extends the service life of the motor.

Repair of electric motors

At OSK-TECHNOLOGY, we not only manufacture electric motors, but also provide comprehensive servicing and refurbishment.

Our repair division operates on a closed-loop cycle – from diagnostics to final bench testing, using certified technologies and modern equipment.

What we do during repairs

  • complete disassembly, defect detection, assembly, and heat treatment (annealing);
  • overhaul of inductor and armature windings with coil replacement;
  • stator and rotor restoration (new winding, stretching, insulation);
  • vacuum-pressure impregnation to increase the strength and reliability of insulation;
  • repair and grinding of collectors, brush assemblies, and brush holders;
  • restoration of explosion-proof surfaces;
  • restoration of bearing seats on shafts and bearing shields;
  • rotor recasting (aluminum) or manufacture of new copper-brass winding;
  • dynamic balancing of rotors on a modern balancing machine;
  • replacement of SKF bearings, seals, and fasteners.

Stages of the repair process

 

  • Initial diagnostics – visual inspection, insulation resistance measurement, interturn short circuit testing.
  • Disassembly and mechanical processing of components (shafts, shields, housings).
  • Restoration of windings and insulation followed by vacuum impregnation.
  • Assembly and adjustment – centering, bearing tension, brush apparatus adjustment.
  • Bench testing – final check before shipment to the customer.

 

Quality control

We guarantee that the refurbished engine meets all safety and reliability requirements, as it undergoes:

  • electrical tests (insulation resistance, high voltage testing, checking the operation of NC/PTC/Pt100 temperature sensors);
  • mechanical tests (vibration level, noise, rotor balancing);
  • trial start-up under load or idle mode on a certified test bench;
  • acceptance tests before delivery to the customer.
